Good reasons to go veg other than to help animals are that it helps the enviorment and it is healthy. I eat eggs but I try to get ones from a small farm I know or I get the cage free ones. The problem with eggs is that they cram the chickens in tiny wire cages and cut off their beaks so people can get eggs and their meat, also they literally throw away the baby male chics that are born because they are of no use in that industry. Good luck. Oh yeah, vegetarians don't eat any meat and fish is a meat, if you want to still eat fish then you would technically be a pescatarian, which to me is still doing a really good thing!

Concern for animals is the reason I went veg more than 20 years ago but there are other really good reasons for not eating animals:

The livestock industry is terribly damaging to our environment.

Being vegetarian can have health benefits as long as you're smart about what you eat.

Eating meat can increase a person's risk for many serious health problems including heart disease & certain cancers.

If more ppl were vegetarian, there would be more food available for humans.

I've been one for almost 2 weeks now and i just told her i want you to respect my decision and i hust tell her i love animals and i dont want to kill them. Since I'm 14 almost 15 and cant drive to pick up food and my mom still doesnt really support me I do eat eggs but maybe i when i move out and get a place of my own i will not eat eggs

Vegetarians don't eat seafood or anything that was once an animal. Vegetarians can eat eggs, milk, etc. if they choose to do so.

A vegetarian doesnt eat any animals, like seafood you said.
you should tell your mom that you want to be one (only if you really desire to), b/c YOU WANT TO. and thats all. you dont need to explain yourself to anyone.
vegetarians will eat eggs cheese milk, b/c they dont hurt the animals, but Vegans will not eat any form of animal products whatsoever. such as cheese, milk, dairy, eggs etc even if it doesnt hurt the animal.

health, following the dietary food laws of the old testament and not consuming of the unclean....

vegetarians live longer and are healthier.....

grocery bill is cut since there is not that waste of $ on dead animals which are full of antibiotics, hormones, pesticides, chemicals, e coli contamination, mad cow contamination, etc....

see u must understand first difference bet, vegetrarian, eggetrarian and non-vegetrarian...

egg is neither veg or non veg...

but to be fully vege, u have to leve egg too.
u can give ur mom a reason that what veg can provide u, non veg failed to provide that.
Eg. max proteins u can get from Soya(Veg) not from any animal...
moreover we cant say what type of food they eat and moreover max diseases come from animals, like aids also came from animals only. whateva will be the prob with the animal can catch u too.
take example of ma bro, he was fond of non-veg, and one day his beard hair starts falling in patches...
he got patches on his face at a number of places...
after 5yrs of medication he is having his beard back but of golden colour...
so u never know when and what disease u get from an animal...

Ovo and lacto-ovo vegetarians eat eggs.
Lacto vegetarians, strict vegetarians, and vegans do not.

No vegetarians eat meat. Fish and chickens are meat.

yes most vegitarians eat eggs.
the ones that dont are mostly vegans
i mean why do you want to be a vegitarian
just tell her why you do.
if you cant come up with a good enough reason
i dont think you really want to become one for the right reasons
