Losing weight, if needed, is a wonderful way to reduce blood pressure. Exercising atleast 30 minutes a day, EVERYDAY will also help. Of course, a low sodium diet is key to reducing blood pressure. Sometimes hypertension is hereditary and, even while doing all of the things listed above, is still uncontrollable. If this is the case for someone, then they woudl have to be seen by their doctor to be placed on an anti-hypertensive or a diuretic. Uncontrolled hypertension can result in kidney failure, stroke, and heart attack. Hope this helps!

You can lower BP without medicine by learning fareastern ancient excercise method and their herb. It takes about 2-3 weeks to practice to be effective. Also strict diet with 1500mg sodium, and without caffein, spicy, alcohol, bad fats. Most people including myself dropped pill significantly long ago. Currently no offer any excercise training classes out side local communities.

Avoid stressful situations. Stress increases a persons blood pressure, so when a stressful situation arises a person with high blood pressure needs to keep their cool, breath, and find a way to relax.
