YES, In a second....I had some last night as a matter of fact. I eat octopus and squid both. I have even had baby octopus which was still somewhat squirming on the plate. I am an American but have chosen Asia as my second home.

Yes. Not only WOULD I eat octopus, but I HAVE eaten octopus.

It has a very rich flavor, and if prepared correctly, a little on the chewy side. Raw or undercooked octopus is like chewing rubber, kinda hard to get down, but tastes really good.

Why do you ask?

Octopus is very good in pasta - either alone or combined with shrimp, crab meat, and scallops.

Octopus meat is also good in a Chinese dish entitled, "Yang Chow Wor Mein." In the authentic dish, you will find even more exotic meats that just octopus.

Octopus meat is similar to squid, but can be cut whereas to not resemble what is actually is. When cooked correctly, it has a texture a little tighter than shrimp, but not quite a rubbery as squid.

Yes. In many countries, octopus is a delicacy. Baby octopus simmered in reddish spices and coated with a sweet-spicy sauce is my favorite. They are served as appetizers in Korean/Japanese/Chinese restaurants. In Osaka, there is a favorite dish called Takoyaki (tako means octopus). The legs of young octopus are chopped up and added to batter which is baked in golfball-size cast iron molds. The Takoyaki is eaten with a sprinkling of herbs and spices and dipped in teriyaki-like sauce.

I've done it, and I'd do it again. It was actually very delicious.Grilled octopus with red wine by the Mediterranean, mmmmm
ETA: Braindead brainiac, overcooked octopus is chewy and rubbery. Undercooked is just slightly rubbery, but more slimy than rubbery. When cooked right, it's tender and delicious.

Yes, I ate octopus (cooked) plenty of times before. It tastes nice.

People who afraid of it? What a waste.

It depends on how it's cooked. I've never eaten octopus before, but I like kalimari so I guess I'd probably like octopus, too.

Hi there.
Not only would, but have. Squid and cuttlefish too.
Rather yummy, good on pizza. If you see it for sale in its own ink, that is really salty so careful of that.
Cheers, Steve.
PS Les Dawson joke: "We used to have an octopus for Christmas dinner instead of turkey. It tasted awful but at least we got a leg each".
