It's a little weird and almost makes me wonder if i'm making myself do this but i feel something itchy with my throat.

so, i got sick and had a sore throat, then runny nose which drained back and then i was with a cough.i was spitting up phlem for a bit but now im down to a cough.

for two nights i have this cough attack but it's only when i know i'm about to go to sleep or atleast i think thats it..it feels like everytime i try to breath in deep, i have this jerk reaction and have to cough...do i have asthma?

is it possible i've always had this and it comes back when i get a bit sick.maybe it inflames an infection that has never been dealt with?

p.s my mother was a heavy chain smoker who smoked while she was pregnant and all through my childhood/teen years etc.

Try Mucinex in the green bottle -- it will thin the mucus and also act as a decongestant and bring up the phlegm. I have to take it every day, and it really works (must be Mucinex). Some of it is post nasal drip and some is the musus holding in the chest area--this will help both. A good hot shower before bed should also help to loosen the phlegm so you don't have to cough.
