i have neumonia?

the doctor said i have neumonia, i been taking antibiotics for 1 week. i play soccer so i want to know in how long am i going to be able to play normally again? i am 14 years old, my dad says that im not going to be able to play in month however i think he is just scaring me , so i want to know if is really that bad

Your illness should not be taken lightly. It is very serious. If not taken care of, your immune system can get really weak. My husband had it for 3 months because he would not rest and had to go to work. He almost ended up in the hospital twice.
If after 10 days you are still sick. Go back to the doctor for more or stronger antibiotics. If you are feeling better, then you may be able to play in a month.

Like some people have said, it depends on the severity of the pneumonia. When the pneumonia infection is gone, it will still take time for your lungs to recover from the infection. Sometimes up to three months. You'll notice that you won't be able to run as hard as you could before at first; just keep working at it. It will take time to get your body back to normal. But in the mean time, take your antibiotics until they are gone, drink a lot of fluids, get plenty of rest. These are the most important things you can do for now.

Depends on how severe yours is. I had this once and it was gone with antibiotics in about 2-3 weeks.

u should just play it on how your feeling u shouldnt go out make it worse.just make sure its treated completly
