i have been coughing for a week or so but not much and it comming from the chest. than this morning i woke up with phelgm in my throat and tired and a fever. i slept lots and am feeling a bit better but when i get active again my head gets hotter again. what might i have? today is christmas and i feel a lot better still have diareah a bit of a warm head and a sore throat. and my chest is still a bit sore.

a sore chest and a fever would indicate a possibility of pnuemonia, suggest you see your doctor asap.

Probably the flu.
See a walk-in medical clinic.
Probably open even today 12/25.

It sounds like you might have the flu, get plenty of rest and liquids.
