As a result of the smoke that issues form the cigarette (Initially from cigars) pipes, cigars and such. Also the clouds of smoke coming from the mouth when exhaling. Smoking mountain, chimney, lanp, candle and person.

Because it's so cool it's hot and it's so hot it's giving of smoke thus smoking.
