Hi,
I have heard alot of people using this. supposedly, it is plant based. I myself, have not used it, but, alot of people on many health conscious boards/weight loss boards speak of this.
I know that the US FDA hadn't been selling this SPECIFICALLY for a sweetner, in fact, they didn't APPROVE it for one, but, you CAN buy it in a HEALTH FOOD/ NATURAL PRODUCT stores as a supplement/organic/natural kind of product. It is allowed under those rules I guess, so people are able to buy it, and have been using it.
I can't speak good or bad of it, since I haven't used it. Personally, I recently began to have problems with migraines from nutrasweet, and I cant use splenda as it bothers my asthma because of the clorination or something...(forgot how...but, I am allergic to clorine when swimming, cant drink clorinated water, yet, can clean with bleach...so, forgot how this works), so did consider it, but, thought against it....I rarely use sugar anyway....that is the only reason.
Good luck to you, hope this helped.

We used it for a while, until Splenda came out. It is sold in the health food store. We had no side effects.

It is best not to take too much artificial sweeteners. They may cause cancer (though the incidence is not high).
Try to cut down on sugar and these artificial sugar. Food from natural sources are best.
