You need to see the doctor as soon as you can. You could have the beginning of a cold, flu, strep, bronchitis, mumps, or pneumonia. I hope this is not the case, but I have experienced all of the above. In the meantime, drink plenty of fluids, stay warm, and rest. I hope you feel better soon.

Best thing to do is see a doc. Not all throat infections are accompanied by a fever. You can also try gargling warm water with salt. You can also try an over the counter pain medication for temporary relief. If you have a throat infection a doctor could prescribe the right antibiotic.

Possibly tonsillitis. You need to go see a doctor. If your having problems breathing, go to A+E. If they have white patches, its tonsillitis and you WILL need antibiotics to clear it up. It could also be glandular fever. Only 10% of people ever know they have it, or are affected by it enough to see a doctor, in which case its a case of suffering til it heals. Glandular fever affects different people in different ways. Some never know, other get a sore throat, others will suffer fatigue, fever, flu symptoms, sore throat, huge glands etc etc... go an see a doctor

It could be the onset of the flu and strep. My co workers had the same symptoms with swollen throats and then a full blown flu with fever and swollen glands. Hard to swallow and breath.

Wow! You have...whatever it is that I have! Never fear, the breathing pain seems to go away after a day or two. I've had this for maybe four days, and now I mostly just have a cough and feel rather tired. I've been taking an inhaler -- I'm not saying you should go and randomly medicate yourself, but it's always a thought, right?

Gargle warm salt water every hour. See a doctor if the pain doesn't start to subside in a day. Could very well be the beginning of many things, Mono being one of them.

Ask your Mom. Mom's usually know. Or see a doctor. A spoonful of honey may help. Chicken soup may help. Ricola lozenges are mild and may be helpful. or gargle with Listerine or mouth wash. Throat spray? Hot tea with honey. and pray.

Strep throat or tonsillitis, or swollen adenoids. This is a bacterial infection, and you ned to go to doctor to get antibiotics. if you dont, then the infection can spread via the blood to your heart, causing a much worse problem.
