** I work in a pub. I didn't ask about the pay rates per hour.. Was kind of landed into the job..
Its my first job and the work I do I find it absolutely great and get to meet new people **
Know the average pay rates for under 16 year olds?
What is the legal age for being allowed to pull pints behind the bar ?

The minimum wage rates are
* The main rate for workers aged 22 and over increased on 1 October 2007 to £5.52 an hour
* The development rate for 18-21 year olds increased to £4.60 an hour
* The development rate for 16-17 year old increased to £3.40 an hour
If you get anything over £5 an hour, you should be extremely grateful. Didn't you ask the pay rate before you started ?

The legal age to serve alcohol anywhere is 18. That is why Tesco staff have to call a supervisor over before they ring up any drinks. You can be a waitrer/ess at 16 but can not work behind the bar until you are 18.
