A very good question.
NOT everyone is same, their mentality,emotion, perception.........etc.
Each religion have its own ideology, believe system, free practices or abides by rules.
1)Even human choose and vote their favorite politicians.
So, why cant god gives us choices to chose our own religion?
We should choose what we can fit, not force our self.
If he want us to choose 1 religion only, why didn't he clone us all with same gen, with same mentality, same ideology so we can choose 1 path? we r not robot to do, act and think the same, but we are human being controlled by its own nervous & endocrine system.
SO, REALIZE IT, PATH IS MANY, BUT TRUTH IS 1, AND ALL OF THEM LEADING TO GOD.

2)Why He who create many religions, end up giving us "ONE Sacred Text Book", and ask us to follow? Does he wants us to confuse? I am very sure that he gives freedom to us to choose what way of life we want.

If we were all preordained to follow the same religion in this life God would have given all not only the means but every intellectual,emotional and miraculous proof needed to each person in the world.

God is Eternal Love
which is one of the reasons I believe in the Trinity
since Eternal Love would have to be of one united essence but of more than one person eternally and infinitely

Happy Christmas,Solsticetide and New Year to all!

It just goes to prove that religion is man made even though religious fanatics will certainly tell you it's all about free will and all the excuses they can come up with. That having been said, there can still be a God - but He doesn't even have to be aware of us.

The Quran says that Had God willed he would have made everyone believers

Also from the Quran

There shall be no compulsion in religion:
the right way is now distinct from the wrong way.
Anyone who denounces the devil and believes in
GOD has grasped the strongest bond;
one that never breaks. GOD is Hearer,
Omniscient. [2:256]

Proclaim: "This is the truth from your Lord," then
whoever wills let him believe,
and whoever wills let him disbelieve. [18:29]

22:67 To every people have We appointed ceremonial rites (of prayer) which they observe; therefore, let them not wrangle over this matter with you, but bid them to turn to your Lord (since that is the main objective of religion). You indeed are rightly guided. But if they still dispute you in this matter, (then say,) `God best knows (the value of) what you do."

Praise be to Allaah.

Why don't we let the Holy Qur'aan answers that? As Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

"To thee We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety: so judge between them by what Allah hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging from the Truth that hath come to thee. To each among you have we prescribed a law and an open way. If Allah had so willed, He would have made you a single people, but (His plan is) to test you in what He hath given you: so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to Allah; it is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute;

And this (He commands): Judge thou between them by what Allah hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, but beware of them lest they beguile thee from any of that (teaching) which Allah hath sent down to thee. And if they turn away, be assured that for some of their crime it is Allah's purpose to punish them. And truly most men are rebellious.

Do they then seek after a judgment of (the days of) ignorance? But who, for a people whose faith is assured, can give better judgment than Allah?"
[Al-Ma'eda 5:48-50]

He did...many people just decided to ignore that...it started off with a few different religions then it ultimately led to one religion...some people followed this and others didn't like it so they kept the religion they originally had and decided to change it around

Although God calls us to salvation,our rewards are based on our willingness to trust him and take him at his word.When people inject their own ideas into what the Bible means it becomes polluted and differences arise.Not from the ,word but because someone cant accept God for who He is.

it is all a test since the begining of time.

God gave us the Bible so we know which religion to follow. Satan leads us astray with the false religions.
