I'm not sure what your size has to do with this, but yes, if you sit down in a restaurant, just for the purpose of trying to intimidate some police officer by staring at him, you've got a problem. No matter how big and tough you think you are, you can't whip all of them. And one of the reasons most cops get up and go to work every day, is for the opportunity to take down a self-professed bad boy. There's a lot of truth in the Dirty Harry quote, "Make my day." Whatever happened between you and this officer, you've got to remember that it ain't personal with him. It's just a job. For you to take it personal with respect to that particular police officer is a stupid move. Get over whatever happened, and get on with your life. Assaulting or killing a police officer, whether on or off duty, is one of the quickest ways to get yourself locked up for a very long time or, worse, to remove yourself from the ranks of the living.

Yes, it is. It's called Disturbing the Peace. The illegal act comes when the officer tells you to leave. When you refuse, you just disturbed the peace, and the officer gets to arrest you.
It just fascinates me that people like you think you have some kind of right to annoy a person simply because he is a police officer. If some butt head pulled a stunt like that on you, you would be demanding that the police do something about it.
Being a police officer does not mean surrendering your constitutional rights or privileges as a citizen or giving up your right to simple dignity.

Is there a law against that? No. Is there a law against disturbing the peace and harrassment of a law enfocement officer? In most jurisdiction, yes. And while they're misdemeanors that still gives them the right to slap on a pair of bracelets and haul you into your very own closet.

You need to be a little bit careful.
In the US, assault does not require physical contact- it only requires the threat of violence. If a "reasonable person" would be threatened by your actions, then you've assaulted him.
Different states interpret this in different ways, and you haven't completely described the situation. However, if you see a cop at a restaurant, and, uninvited, join him at his table and stare at him across the table, it doesn't seem unreasonable to me for the cop to feel menaced.

Not against the law, but depending on the attitude of said POPO, you may either have something said to you and/or get a beatdown later on in the night. remember the old saying "the bigger they are"

It's hard to finish your meal when you are looking across the table at someone who is morbidly obese, so he might get annoyed. It's probably not illegal though, just a really bad idea.

No. Smile real nice, too. And tell him how much you love him.
I don't think that's a crime and it's not too creepy, either. Have fun.
