I am a true Christian but our church don't celebrate Christmas because it is not biblical. No verse in the bible when birth of Jesus was on December, much of the 25th! If you recall when Mary and Joseph traveled to Bethlehem, flocks and herds are present. The three kings and numbers of overseers of the flocks witnessed the guiding star where the Holy infant was born. The season was not cold so most probably it was Spring. Christmas is a pagan festival in origin associated with catholic practices which in some countries now is being practiced focused more on commercialism rather than belief.

My family is all Christian, I will be celebrating with them tonight. Life is too short to miss out on family and friends who would include you in their celebrations. I celebrate Yule/ Winter Solstice as well, with a variety of activities. As you said, the important part is to celebrate good will to others......... Wishing you the best in the Season Of Light....

When I was a non-Christian I refused to participate in Christmas.
I celebrated my own good-will in other ways at other times. I simply couldn't tolerate the idea of participating in something in which I had no belief. I thought it lacked integrity. Now I think back to it and am glad I didn't.
I am glad to celebrate Christ now.

Well, we here in England used to worship Christmas when it was the Roman holiday Saturnalia, before Christianity adopted it.
It's nice to give people things and cook good food and not do any work for a while, so why not?

Yes, it is a cultural holiday where I live and part of the family traditions, so we do participate in it's celebration.

I celebrate when the holiday season is over. Christianity has nothing to do with it.

You don't subscribe to a religion. That sounds like a magazine subscription. Even though non-believers would probably call it that. Our beliefs are our free will to choose.

Sure. It's a cultural holiday. Just like I celebrate St. Valentines Day (and I'm not a Catholic) and St. Patricks day (and not Irish either).
