It's been many many years since I've had a date. I came across a girl I really like the other day and I'm not sure what to say or do. I tried to ask her out and then she just laughed at me and said, no not with a guy like you silly. Then I had a girl slap me when I complimented her on her hair. Now she's dating one of my bests friends. A guy who tells me all about their intimate encounters together. I fear that because it's been so long I just don't know how to talk to women anymore. Year after year goes by with nothing but horror stories on how another one got away. I really don't want to spend another 15 Christmases alone. I've tried the getting out there and meeting girls thing and it's not working. I feel like after 15 years of searching and then as I was told not to search, went by. Now I've lost the ability to do anything. I don't want to spend another year alone, but 365 days ago from now I was sitting here in the same place saying the same thing.

Yes it is normal behavior as the re is no involvement of opposite sex in vast activities. ladies have limited scope.

Most women are put off by a guy that they think are interested in only sex.
You will have to get to know them first, the best way is to have a hobby or take a class.
I met my last girlfriend coaching boys basketball, she was the girls coach.
I saw her a few times and did ask her out after a few times seeing her the gym.
I would never had been able to ask her out as she was very wqeary of men, this way you will not come across as too froward.
Make sure you are well groomed and are dressed decent, it dfoes make a diofference.
My take on you from reading your story is that you need some confidence, do whatever it takes to fell good about yourself, and then you will be able to contribute to a relationship.
By the way it never worked out the coach as she was psycho!

I have to tell you that girls like guys who are confident. You have lost your confidence.
You need to do a self assessment first - what do you like, what are you good at? Get involved in some volunteer organizations.Then focus on those areas to regain your confidence and feeling better about yourself.
Then go online in some chat rooms. Try out your talking and pick up skills. Learn how to develop some conversational topics.
Once you feel you can make the first move, then join an online dating service. That will help you further your communication skills, get you back into the swing of things.

Online dating services=a way to meet new people so they don't have to talk to you in person and you won't blunder in front of them and they won't sneer at you.
Try it sometime. You might meet your special person there, who knows? Loneliness is a choice. As well as awkwardness with women, lol. Just be yourself and let things fall into place. Then wait another 15 years or so...haha....

Where do you go for entertainment, if you have interests, there has to be someone there that you could talk to about your hobby, and build from there. The only reason for being alone is by chose, there has to be someone out there, maybe your sights are set to high. Maybe you don't need the best looking, best shape person, to have companionship.

since your not use to talking to women, you should try to go about it a little different. try the friends first thing. dont immediately ask a women out. learn to talk to them first. find common interests and take things from there. you could even use the not dating thing to your advantage. tell a women, i havent been to dinner with a women in a long time, wanna go try.... i want to go see this movie and i dont want to go alone, wanna go see .... with me.. try things a little different and dont worry about the past or how your best friend handles things. women just want a nice guy and someone to make them smile. you sound nice, you just need to find the right women to bring that out of you.

it depends some boys find it hard to tlk 2 a girl and some girls cant say a wrd 2 a boi they like its just on how confident u r wit opp sex
