It explicity says it didnt come for peace but the sword

Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law--a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.' Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

That's a Biblical verse. I'm sure there are many violent verses in Qur'an that you could use to trash Muslims, if that's what will make you feel better than them and if that'll help you build your self-esteem. But next time do check your sources please. Bible doesn't equal Qur'an.

wow! is that an honest confession or what! By the way, if fighting people who attempt at eradicating your religion is violence then what your military forces are doing at the border is also wrong, why? don't they kill people in defending their country? Think about it! Also if you want to know why which verse was revealed and the context behind the verse, read TAFSIR, which is the book on explanatory text , explaining verses of QURAAN.

U should have given reference from which chapter and from which verse of Quran u quoted this paragraph.
1. Islam means peace.
Islam comes from the root word ‘salaam’, which means peace. It also means submitting one’s will to Allah (swt). Thus Islam is a religion of peace, which is acquired by submitting one’s will to the will of the Supreme Creator, Allah (swt).

Very nice strategy!!!!

This is from bible.....

want more verses like these???

[Ezek. 9:5]
And the Lord said, "Go through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare,
neither have you pity. SLAY UTTERLY OLD AND YOUNG, BOTH MAIDS AND LITTLE
CHILDREN, AND WOMEN.

[Heb. 12:29] OUR GOD IS DESTROYING FIRE.
[Psalm. 94:1] O LORD, YOU GOD OF VENGEANCE.
[Job 7:21] Why do not you pardon my transgression and take away my iniquity?
[Ezek. 11:8] God said, "You have feared the sword, the sword I will bring
upon you."
[Amos 9:1] I will slay that left of them with the sword, not one of them
shall flee away.. I WILL COMMAND THE SWORD, AND IT SHALL SLAY
THEM.
[Jer. 49:37] I will send the sword after them, until I have consumed them.
(Let those who say Islam is the religion of the sword know that
the word "sword" is never mentioned in the Quran while the
Bible mentions it many times, in the way that you see here.)
[Ezek. 12:14] I will unsheathe the sword after them. I will let a few of them
escape from the sword, from famine and pestilence.

[Jer. 19:7]
The Lord said, "T WILL MAKE THEM EAT THE FLESH OF THEIR SONS AND THEIR
DAUGHTERS, and every one shall eat the flesh of his neighbour.
[Levi. 26:14]
If you will not hearken to me..21 I will bring a sword upon you.. 29 YOU SHALL
EAT THE FLESH OF YOUR SONS, AND DAUGHTERS.
[Lam. 2:20]
LOOK O LORD, AND SEE! WITH WHOM YOU HAVE DONE THAT: SHOULD WOMEN EAT THEIR
FRUIT AND CHILDREN OF A SPAN LONG?
[Lam. 4:4]
The hands of compassionate women have boiled their own childrenthey became
their food.

[Math. 10:34]
"Do not think that I have come to make peace on earth? I HAVE NOT COME TO BRING
PEACE, BUT A SWORD.
"For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her
mother."[said Jesus]!
[Luk. 12:49]
'I CAME TO CAST FIRE UPON THE EARTH, AND WOULD THAT IT WERE ALREADY KINDLED..
DO YOU THINK THAT I HAVE COME TO GIVE PEACE ON EARTH? NO, I TELL YOU, BUT
RATHER DIVISION; for from henceforth in one house there will be five divided,
three against two, and two against three. They will be divided, father against
son, and son against father, mother against daughter, and daughter against her
mother. [said Jesus]!
[Luk. 19:27]
For these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, BRING THEM
HERE AND SLAY THEM BEFORE ME.
[Luk. 14:26]
If any one comes to me and does not HATE his own father and mother and wife,
and children, and brothers and sisters yes and even his own life: he cannot be
my disciple.

and i know people would pick verses from the Holy Quran and that is why my website has a special page to answer those verses...........

Christ came to this world to deliver man from sin. At the time he was for Jews, after his death the rest of the world was included.
He came to offer to man kind equallity to his satus. This means giving up you relationship with your maternal struture if need be.
God comes first your family relations second.
And I ask muslims to distupe this with their relationship to their god. Muslims need be , we can bring up honor killigs?

You are aware, aren't you, that Matthew is a book of the Bible, not the Holy Qur'an?

Did you mean to ask this question regarding Christianity?
