My name is Jennifer and I am 14 years old. I think there is something wrong with me. I hate going out and partying and I don`t care for other teenagers my age. I stay home and study all the time, I make perfect straight As. I am in the ninth grade but I may be skipping up to eleventh grade next year. People tell me I am dependable, smart, and responsible. They also always tell me what I should be doing, things that don`t intrest me. Like going out and that type of thing. I`m not into that. However, I have this obsession with becoming a mother. I know it is crazy, that`s what they all tell me. Every time I see a woman with a baby I go nuts, I just want my own so badly. I have babysitted but it isn`t the same. I have OCD, if that makes it worse. I`m worried because people have told me how hard of work babies are. I have seen the shows on tv where they make them care for the baby for a week and they have a hard time. Won`t change my mind. You will all probably call me crazy, but ok.

I know how young I am and I know I must be nuts! lol. I went out to a party earlier this year and I hated it. I felt insecure and as if I didn`t fit in. I hate people whom drink underage or use drugs. That is all it is to me. I`m crazy I know!!! and the first answer...I have known people whom had babies at 13 even and the father did not go to jail.

just make sure you find the right responsible guy before you rush into it. remember it takes 2 even though you feel ready make sure he's a guy who's ready.

I have OCD too so I know how it feels. I have a different obsession however.
Ok you really want to be a mother. Problems. Being a mother is a BIG responsibility and costs LOTS of money. You need to change the diaper, feed the kid, take it to the Dr to get its shots and checkups and when it is sick. Toys, clothing, presents, food, etc. You have to train it right from wrong from day one. A lot of work.
My advice:
Instead of having your OWN baby, maybe you can babysit for someone else? Or maybe you can work in a nursery or some place where you can care for babies. This way you can still be around the babies and can get more experience with them.
Yet being a teenager yet and you have school and friends and probably maybe not a job yet being 14. You would have no time for fun. You would have to do school, get some kind of income, and care for your baby. There would be no fun whatsoever.
Worse you get pregnant and have the kid and they put it up for adoption or even worse...abortion.
So from one OCD person to another...
It is NOT worth it.

Ur so young honey, I know what it is like 2 want a baby. I want a kid so much 2. U can have a baby. Just NOT NOW. Wait until ur 18 or married is even better. That's so cool that u don't drink or do drugs. I don't do that stuff either. I think u should u wait later on u can give ur kids a wonderful life. Have u ever heard of baby think it over? Its when u take a doll home and it crys and is like a real baby. I'm 17 and did this and I know I'm not ready. U should check and see if ur school does this.

well sweetheart, i became a father at 14 years old, to a 18 year old girl that i met that night, and i was nothing like you. i was the boy who got top marks in sport, but failed everything else. the good looking asshole, who sits up the back throwing things at the teachers, and other students. the girl i got pregnant left me with our child when she was 1 month old, and trust me, children aint no picknick. my daughter is now 15, and i am 29. i have recently met the girl who i would like to settle down with, and begin a family, but truble for m id, she is 23. we are living together now, but her family dont like me, or the fact that i already have a teenage daughter. please wait untill you are atleast 18 to begin to commit to a serious relaltionship. It is way to hard to care for children, bring money into a home, do school work, and have some "you" time.

Get you one of those life-like baby dolls that crys to eat, and crys at night. Take it everywhere with you, just as you would have to if you were really a mother. You will soon find out how rough it can be. It is no game and no picnic. Get a college education, then think about babies.

you are so young you have the rest of your life to have a baby so dont rush into anything just yet.. enjoy being young while you still can you will have time to start a family when the time is right. in the meantime try getting a pet to give your love and affection too.. I call my cat my son.. people think im weird but i dont care! hehe

Perfectly normal. Don't worry about it. Just don't act on it. You are intelligent enough to realize the damage you will do if you have a child at such an early age. Keep those thoughts at bay until you can support a child.
I work with a lot of teenagers with those same thoughts.

Well, to have a baby you need to do some *******. You are 14. Nobody is going to tell you to do that. In fact, it is illegal for someone to get you pregnant. Just wait 4 years.

you're only 14yrs old, if i was u i'd go out and live my life first and have some fun, that is what i'd do anyway.
