a 8 Megapixel camera can take 4 mb images at the highest resolution (jpeg). So given that info, 2000 MB divided by 4 = 500 images at 4 mb each. But not all images will be that large so figure between 500-600 images.
If you use the camera at a lower image, you'll obviously be able to take a lot more.

It depend on so many factors, first one is the ccd capacity of your camera, secondly what you are shooting at with it. Basicaly an eight Mp camera will record an image of two Mb with a couple of Kbs that side or this side. So as an average 1000 pictures, may be a little less.

Got to know how many megapixels your camera is.
OK if 8: My chart shows 512 shots keeping camera at your best setting of 8 MP. So just figure 500 shots.

Sure. Just make sure you copy the file system structure exactly, as Wii looks in specific folders for it's save files and won't find them otherwise. Only thing I don't get is using an SD card in a PS2...Never heard of any adapter to allow for that.
