You said this sarcastically, but it is actually quite profound.OF COURSE you study EVERYTHING about a subject, then come to an informed decision. How could I say the bible is untrue had I not Read it.How can someone say TOE is false if they don't know what TOE is.What started sarcastic is probably the most profound, and life changing question in your intellectual development.Find all evidence first, examine t closely,THEN come to a conclusion.Don't get a conclusion handed to you (goddidit) and then refuse to see any scientific evidence. That position would be completely morally bankrupt.Don't cheat yourself man,LEARN!!!!

Yes I did. I spent 8 years going to Sunday school and church every Sunday up until I received my confirmation. After that, I stopped going. My mother realized I couldn't be forced anymore. She could never answer the questions I asked about christianity so I searched many years on my own. I was brought up catholic but after I stopped going to a catholic church, I tried other types of christian churches as an adult. Never found the definite answers I was looking for so I sought answers elsewhere. And here I am, an atheist.

I have. Hard work though. Not very interesting.

By the way, just in case you hadn't thought of it, many atheists used to be Christians who read the bible on a daily basis for most of their life. It is distinctly possible that they know more about the bible than you ever will.

Yes, both the King James and New English versions. I've also read the Quran, the Book of Mormon, the Baghavad Gita and some of the writings of the Buddha.

I'm still an atheist.

Yes, and I find it very insulting when others think of atheism as some demonic term. It just so happens to be the word that discribs our views. Not even all atheist believe the same things.

I read my childrens' Bible cover to cover about ten times a year every year until I was about 8. Then I went to Bible study for about seven years. Does that count?
