Yes I think it's fine but I'm wondering about some of the names I've heard people naming their human children...lol

Definitely! I strongly prefer "human names" for dogs and cats (I always give my dogs human names), but really, think it's ok to name any kind of pet anything you want. I someone wants to names their cat "Snowball" or their dog "Digger," it's no business of mine. Whatever makes them happy - after all, they're the one who will have to say that name thousands of times ever year. They better pick one they like, whether it be a human name or not!

All of my dogs have had human names, but for my smaller pets (hamsters, gerbils, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, and mice), I used more "pet like" names.

I do yes but dogs names all depend how you view your dog. i.e. some people see them JUST AS A DOG these people will name it something link Twinkle or Snow Flake. But the people who see there dog as part of the family will give there dog a human name. I myself have 2 female dogs & a male puppy & have named them Chelsea, Chloe & Owen. Each one is 100% a part of our family.

The name you choose is part of the bond you make, and if a human name strengthens that bond, then it's the right name for your dog. Just ask my Buddy and Misty.

Of course it is okay! Name your dog whatever you want to name it! My dog's name is Coco. My last dog was named Rita. The one before that was Sabrina, and there was Baxter. Cool dogs!! The dogs across the street are named Dude, and Dudette. My cats, are named Izzy and Hissy! My other cat was named Marvin.

Doesn't matter what you call the dog as long as you treat the dog like a dog and not a human which causes endless issues.
