Nope- the Menorah for the Temple was first made by th eJews in the desert 3500 years ago- the Channukiah based on the menorah for Channukah, was first used to celebrate Channukah around 2800 years ago. Either way, it predates Christianity by centuries.

Note: A channukiah differs from the menorah though many people incorrectly use the terms interchangably. Strictly speaking, a Channukiah has eight arms and a Menorah six arms.

No. The menorah predates the Xmas tree by thousands of years. What we use for Hanukkah today is actually called a chanukia (incorrectly called a menorah even by Jews) which is representative of the menorah lamp in the Temple and also representative of the 8 days of the miracle of oil.

Remember the Menorah predates the Christmas tree by many generations, the imitation would be the other way around.

NO not at all. The Menorah is for Hanukkah the celebration where the temple only had enough lamp oil for one night, but the lamp burned for 7 nights.one Candle for each night the lamp oil lasted.

Absolutely Not!!!! A Menorah is a wonderful Jewish tradition with a beautiful story of it's own. It is a symbol of a wondrous miracle and of the faith of the Jewish people. I am Christian, but even I know this basic stuff..yeeesh!!!
