Santa is based on Saint Nicholas, who himself gave presents to the poor. So technically Santa didn't just come out of nowhere, he's based on a real person.

on that note, if santa is real, then Jesus is real. or are you going to pull a double standard?

I dont understand how the bible can prove that jesus is real?? If so how can people just start comin up with **** and they just add it in there some where! I think its all just bullshit but im not sayin theres not and im not sayin there is cuz honestly i dont know if there is or not i just dont give a ****

One does not have anything to do with the other.

I see how you have lumped all your childhood make-believe characters into one room and including Jesus in that group, but Jesus is not make believe.

And at some point in your life you will learn that.

St. Nicholas /was/ real; just as Jesus /was/ real. Both of their biographies have been tweaked a bit over the centuries...

They are both real as long some one believe on them.
But without a name then you don't have to believe on it.
Name is to give more meaning that you exist.
