Here some aspects.

Before the start of Mahabharat war both Arjuna and
Duryodhana representing Pandavas and Kauravas went to
Lord Krishna seeking help.

Lord Krishna gave two choices.

1. The help of the Lord himself, but unarmed and
without fighting in the war.

2. The Mighty Devastating Military Forces (Narayan
Sena) of the Lord for the other.

He gave the preference to Arjuna for choosing the
option and Arjuna chose the first option for the
unarmed Lord Himself.

Krishna did injustice to duryodhan in many hidden ways.
Krishna did justice to Dharam (Religion) but had lot of tricks to play weakness of kauravas. Pandavas victory was only because of Krishna or/else they were actually loosers.
Look at the way Bhisham, Dronacharya, Karan, Duryodhan have died... was all because of cheating from pandav side.
Let me correct you that although Arjun choose 1st option but he knew that krishna was much more stronger than narayan sena. Duryodhan measured victory with forces only.

If Duyodhara had chosen the Lord, would Lord Krishna fight for adharma(non-righteousness)? No.

God knew the heart of Duryodhana, who don't even came forward to offer a piece of land to the pandavas which they asked after their 14 years in Exile to prevent the war.

Duryodhana has ego and he is obssesed with material pocessions that he created all the troubles with the Pandavas. And the Lord knew that, that's why he placed such an choice.

Duryodhana chose the Military but the humble Arjuna chose the God,So he won.

The basic principle in Krishna Neethi: "parithranaya sadhoonam, vinasaya cha dushkrutham........." the second principle: "......your abuse i shall tolerate with great patience, a hundred times; your licence for evil, expires then!....." (in the story of Sisupala moksha! the principle of patience, and giving a chance for evil forces to correct themselves!) -- Arjuna got the first option, like the toss-winning cricket captain, because he sat at the Lord's feet with humility and devotion, and therefore was seen first, before Duryodhana was seen sitting away from Krishna's feet! Again a piece of Krishna Neethi!
