i read a book called, the road, by cormac mccarthy. in essence, it appears that God doesn't exist in this post-apocalyptic tale...to answer your question, i would have to imagine myself in that place, where my survival is all that matters...

right now, i have the benefit of being a Christian and the desire to be a good person and living in a country that is fairly safe.

the world in "the long road" would be close to being proof that God doesn't exist or at least is not concerned with me...

would i be a murderer, a thief, or worse? maybe, james...maybe...

My life is so much better since I've become a believer in and a follower of Jesus that I can't imagine why I would want to go back to the life that I was living before. Why exchange peace, contentment, and self respect for the misery I had before?
If God didn't really exist, I would still rather live under the illusion there was a God instead of having to live with the emptiness and pointlessness of a life without Him.

Nope. People are always under the assumption that Christians are boring and live in some prison. I am a Christian and happen to love my life. I have lots of fun, good friends and have extreme peace. If I found out God didn't exist, I would no longer have that joy and peace. The only thing that keeps me happy is my belief in God.

They would not have to!

Firstly - government research in the US and Europe shows that Christians are disproportionately represented in prisons for sex crimes, murder and theft. They are dominant in the numbers of pedophiles and mass murderers!!!

Secondly my life style as an atheist is much more humane. I have worked for many charities and good causes having been a director of several charities and trustee of several more. Very few of those involved in such work are Christians!!!!

Sin after all is a christian concept and therefore it should be no surprise to find so many sinners in the christian faith!!!!

No. Murderers, thieves and kid touchers end up in jail. Adulterers end having their wives leave them and take half their money.

I'd rather live my life righteously as God intended and die tomorrow to find out there isn't a God,
-rather than live my life in sin and die tomorrow to only find out that there IS A GOD.

-Amen.

I would still live my life the way that I do. I love women, I smoke in Church, I would drink Caribou (Alcoholic drink with Maple Syrup), and I would still be Canadien Français.
