Just wondering.
I've had my haired dyed several colors over the years [blue, purple, magenta] and will be getting it dyed blue and purple in a few weeks. And no, I'm not trying to rebel against my parents or anything like that. They're completely fine with it.
I'm not a scene kid either. No black eyeliner, no creepy piercings or big hair.

Yeah, little kids who dye their hair kind of freak me out. =/
When I was 12/13 I had to break my mother's spirit to get her to let me dye my hair. The first time I had it done it was light purple streaks during the summer. After that it was magenta streaks after we moved, and then blue sreaks over last summer.
Now she's actually letting me get my whole head dyed. Fun stuff.
I'm 15 by the way.

xD My parents are not nuts.
I like dying my hair for no reason other than I like the colors. I have naturally blonde hair and it gets boring after a while.

I think it's cute and fun. What other time in your life can you get away with stuff like that? It's not very easy after 18!
Besides..it's just hair...not a tat or cutting off your leg...it grows back.
I help my 13 yr old do her hair with pink or blue or red streaks and sometimes I slip some into my own...flashbacks of my younger days!
Have fun with it! Be young! You aren't doing anything wrong or illegal so have at it!

Hey, i'm fine with whatever, i'll love ya the same if your hair is brown or blue hehe! And since your parents are fine with it, then don't sweat it! I accidentally dyed mine a terrible orange-yellow, and had to endure about a month of jabs haha, but it was a learning experience, get it professionally done haha. However i hear it's a ton easier with the blues and purples and stuff, because my hair was dark brown, so obviously it didn't lighten enough lol. My opinion, therefore, is that they are people just the same, and that as long as their parent's are cool, then go for it! We all should have room to have some fun and make mistakes, its the only way we learn.
:) Hope this helps!

I dye my hair all the time and when I was in middle school i would put purple and blue and other colors in my hair. I liked to do that and I don't see anything wrong with it.

Whatever makes you happy, just realize that it will have to come to an end if you choose one of the "regular" career paths. I only have a problem with people who dye their little kids' hair. I babysat for a seven year old whose stepmother dyed her hair blond, and I could have throttled the woman.

I don't think anything (positive or negative) about people who change their hair color. I do it myself all the time, though with 'traditional' shades (I'm naturally a boring, dishwater blonde but have had a variety of shades of blonde, brunette, and red since I was 19).

if you and your parents are satisfied about this, go on!
but there is one thing that i can't understand - why young people need to dye their hair??? i have some friends who dye their hair just because they don't like their natural color. i'm satisfied by my hair color (golden) so i don't see any need to change it.
all in all, good luck, try to avoid completely ruining your hair or forgetting their first color :)

I think it is pretty. I like it with spikes, very cute. Do that sort of thing while you can once you are in the work world you will have to look like other people to get hired and promoted.

I have a 10 year old daughter and would never allow her to color her hair blue; however, she has, and still does, frosts her hair and that is perfectly find. In fact, she has an appt. to have it frosted again on Monday of next week.
