it has a similarity. I think that was part of the idea of the story but, that was back in the days where God actually medle in mans afair. Other events of notes is the tower of babel, sodom and gommora etc etc. After a certain date God doesn't do s hit. There are no opening of the earth to swallow none belivers or some miracle that can prove his existance. It is also very funny to note how God is quick to punish those who doubt him yet he cannot feed the hungry no matter how strong their faith is.
So, you can say that non belivers are fools based on the similarities of a story which no one can prove really happened. However, none believers can show you evidense of people who do beleive and got s crew ed by their religion. Have you ever heard of Jim Jones, David Coresh. How about the many who at different times of history have given up all of their posesions thinking that on a specific date the lord would come only to have that day come and yet, nothing happened exept that now they have nothing.
In the end is a matter of what you want to follow. Do you wan to follow hearsay or do you want to follow hard cold facts.

No Christians on here remind me of Babel!!!
There was no world wide flood!! Archaeologists are examining what happened when the land between the Mediterranean and the Black Sea collapsed and flooded the Black Sea basin. But that is a little local event that was picked up and utilized for the story telling.
Your sort of question rightly draws responses from non Christians and that is because you make derogatory and dogmatic statements first!!!!!
Why are you so afraid of non Christians?
Or is it as I suspect another example of a question designed by the Antichrist, posted by one of his soldiers!!!!!!!

I wonder if Matthew 5:22 applies here, or will they find some way to explain it away?
"But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause[a] shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire."
I've seen more responses for those who claim to be believers, that have a "know-it-all" tone. And clearly this question is proof of who is bashing and who isn't.

well, seeing as the flood never happened (unless your god took a giant piss and flooded the place), your question is meaningless

The flood is fiction, so the question is moot.
