I hear that dogs are not allowed to have chocolate-as it is like poison for them.

What about cats? I am very careful that I don't let her have any sort of junk food...or anything else besides cat food and milk anyway.

Well besides all the obvious things. Heres a few ingrdients that are better left out of cat foods. It's important you read the ingridient list of every pack and can you buy for your cat. Be sure it's free of the following ingrdients.

Animal by products
corn
wheat
soy
gluten

I can tell you right now every brand from walmart or a grocery store will contain at least two of the junk ingrdients. If you have a Petco near you some good brands would be Natural Ultramix, Natural Balance,Blue buffalo,Solid Gold and Eagle Pack.

Oh and never give your cat cooked chicken bones. Raw chicken bones are just fine and are great for their teeth.

Also avoid onions,garlic,chocolate,do not feed only tuna,raw eggs,human medications,tobacco,drugs.

Well, first off, milk is bad for cats. They're lactose intolerant. As for what else is bad, and just like for dogs, Chocolate and onions are a no go, and anything too high in fat or cholesterol, but other than that a good search at Iams, or even the Humane Society will give you a better idea. Oh, and if you are having flea or coat issues, garlic will help with both, and actually CUT DOWN on bad breath.

cooked chicken wings could splinter and cause the cat to choke so avoid them. Raw ones are ok though and are very good for their teeth.

There are some people that say cows milk is actually bad for cats as they don't have the right enzyme to digest it. If your cat has an upset stomach you might want to cut back on the milk.

Supposedly poinsetta plants are poisonous to them and so are lilies.

I'd lay off the milk.

And cats can't eat dog food. Cats need taurine, which is in cat food.

Tuna is supposedly not good for them either.
