I like the second chapter of "Star Trek: First Contact" because in about 6 minutes you get male & female voices, music, special effects.

The Lobby shoot-out scene in the original "Matrix" movie can bring some systems to their knees with many minutes of low-frequency sounds. (Lots of systems went into 'protect' mode when this movie came out.)

Try to find the DTS sampler. This has clips from movies like - Hero, I Robot, Kill Bill, Day after tomorrow etc and some good music videos in surround. Perfect disc to test/demonstrate a home surround sound.

There are some other similar discs too available in the market. Search on the internet and you'll find many (including from THX and various other electronics companies)

Most recently I'd have to say Pirates of the Caribbean At Worlds End, amazing Dolby Digital EX soundtrack as well as and even better LPCM track on Blu Ray. A few years back I'd say The Incredibles, its well..........incredible!
