If you could pick any MMA fighter to transition into a great boxer today, Who and Why?

Rampage has some good head movement and quick hands. His defense is good and he has technical punches. Houston Alexander would be great in shorter bouts (4 rounds). Also, not to be picking the flavor of the month, but Danzig has good rhythm and head movement. He would most likely fight at a 135 or so weight in boxing I think. Gomi did knock him out before though.

Liddel doesn't have the technique or punch combinations to make the transition. Plus his age and lack of footwork limit his ability to blossom into a quality boxer ( I say fighter, but that's my opinion).

My second choice would be GSP because the guy is a sponge at everything fighting and he already has very capable hands, good footwork and throws quality power shots. His mental focus would be an issue.

My first choice would be Takanori Gomi. He already trains with the Japanese boxing team and does well against them. He's got lightening quick hands, cat like reflexes and throws heavy leather. If he trained it full time he'd be good... maybe great. His cardio would probably kill him in the later rounds of 10 or 12 rounders though.

Big Nog and Little Nog both are good boxers. Big Nog trains with the Cuban National Team and I think Little Nog has competed in some big time boxing tournaments and placed highly in them.

Anderson Silva I know his thai boxing clinch and knees are what murder his opponents but I think his hands are good too. Did you see how he Roy Jones Jr.ed Rich Franklin the last fight? He put his hands down and just bobbed under all Franklin's attacks including a kick!

Chuck Liddell is the only one with good enough punching power to do that but his chin is questionable so if he box, he won't be great for sure.
