i been trying to turn it on but it still off and i have seen pics of it red so anyone know how to turn it red?

it doesn't turn red
there is NO red light in the button
they just did that as a selling gimmick to make it look cool in the advertisements
besides, if it was there, you'd be wasting so much battery
just forget about it, it doesnt exist

The first guy was right. The center PS button on the PS3 does not turn red. When I first bought my PS3 I thought that center PS button on the PS3 controller would turn red, but it doesn't.
The red PS button was just used for marketing because I read about it. But I do wish that it did turn red, it would just look a lot cooler.

Put in the USB cable and press the PS button. Should re-sync it.

Leave it pressed till it turns red.

you cannot, it's red simply for show. you have to buy a LED light and customize the button, that's what some people did.

if you push the ps button the button wont light up but the light at the top of the controller will.......

It does not turn red unless you modify it, which is only a luxury, not a necessity.
