I would like to go tanning since i'm pale white, but i have two arm bands. Should I cover then up with something like duck tape or should i let them be? I'd like to try going a couple times a week, but the last thing i want is for them to fade! Any help is great. Thanks

Ugh, why would you want to destroy your skin?
(I don't mean with tattoos)
Do yourself a favor and get a Mystic tan or something.

Just don't go tanning it's so bad for you. Even just a little tan means damage to your skin. You will look like leather by a young age and cancer risks are higher for tanning beds that in the sun. Please don't do it.
Did you know it's actually more popular now and stylish to not go tanning, look at hollywood. Most people wouldn't say that you're pale, they would say that you're fair, like Marilyn Monroe was.

What's wrong with being white?
If you go in a tanning bed the tattoos will fade. There is no way to prevent it. Even if you use sunscreen, they will fade.

Why not just enjoy being your natural color? Or do you want your skin to look leathery orangish brown?

If you're worried about being pale, and your tattoo fading, why not just use sunless tanning solutions?
They're cheaper, don't cause cancer, and don't make your skin wrinkle.
If you look around, you can get some great ones.
Try Dove or Nivea. Besides, it keeps your inks moisturized and firm.
Now that's hot. :3

I have like 12 tattoos and have tanned many times, without anything on them, dont worry about it. Its not like you will get out of the tanning bed and oh my gosh they faded! They will fade after many years no matter what, they fade from the sun, from stuff rubbing on them... my oldest tatts are like 10 years old, and they arent faded at all, so dont worry about it. and yeah whats wrong with being pale?

I wouldn't put tape on them but I would cover them to prevent them from fading. Just put the towel that is usually provided over them.

SUNSCREEN!

If you go out into the sun without protection your tattoos will FADE.

Sunscreen is your best approach. It doesn't keep you from tanning, it just keeps you from burning and your tattoo from becomming ugly.

the tattoo people told me to put spf 50 on my tattoo. problem is, if you arent really neat about it, you will have weird white lines around the black ones.
tanning beds are super bad for you anyway. why not try the spray tanning?

dont put duct tape on them youll have bad tanlines! i suggest asking the people who work at the tanning salon, they should know how to cover them without making tan lines.

I don't know how you should cover them but you should. You probably don't want those bad boys to fade.
