How can Muslims beleive in the Jewish bible as a Holy text, if they don't believe that what it says is true?

It is changed, some part is fabricated. we believe that God send His message to Moses, David and many other Prophets of God. But we believe in the original message that was send to them, not anything that is presented as holy scripture.

The Jewish and Christian scriptures do not have the benefit of careful cross checking to be sure that they were even written by the author to whom they are attributed.

Many Muslims will as a result assert that while of some benefit, those ancient documents can not be given the credibility of words directly from a Prophet. (The works attributed to Moses clearly were not all read back to him. and we do not know from the works of Luke (Christian book) that any of the active participants ever read one word of his work for validation. We clearly know that Jesus did not read nor have read to him any part of the work of Luke)

Thus the texts themselves want a sense of credibility. We do not know where a story originated, through how many fireside tellings it went before written down. We do not even have in most cases anyone claiming to have witnessed anything, nor who else wittnessed withj them. Poor standards of journalism.

Now believing that God gave Jews a book, and that it improved their culture is a step closer to respect without claiming that it was all reliable.

Muhammed counseled the priests of Christianity to get back and re-study their gospels, not out of disrespect for the gospels per se, but because oral traditions and allowing doctrines to take precedence over ancient texts was very widespread.

Muslim don't deny that a Holy Torat was given to Moses. But it got lost. People wrote it again from memory. It is no longer a word of God. What you have is words of tranlators and interpretations of Rabbis in it.

It has a shameful pornographic type story that some one pasted on R & S. I saved it to show when some one like you will ask me why I don't believe on Old Testament.

I am 100% sure that God hasn't used this kind of language in any Holy Book and for sure not in Qurtan.

They believe there is a lot of correct information in it, just not that it is entirely correct. The Koran shares many stories that are in the Torah, such as Adam and Eve and Abraham.

Christians and Jews are referred to in the Qur'an as the "People of the Book" (Ahl-ul-Kitab), so I don't know what you're talking about...you may not have all your facts straight.

The Torah and the Enjeel (Bible) are both mentioned in the Qur'an as books of the prophet Moses (pbuh) and Jesus (pbuh).
