should i get a brand new 40gig or a refurbed 60gb i want good reasons because im buying one right after christmas

Basically it all depends on whether or not you want full backwards compatibility with PS1 and PS2 games because the 40GB PS3 can't play PS2 games.

I'm really not the type of person that buy's refurbished products, I prefer everything that I buy brand new, but since the 60GB PS3 has full backward compatibility, 4 USB ports, and the flash card slots, I would buy the refurbished 60GB PS3.

If you don't really care about backward compatibility, 2 extra USB ports, and the flash card slots, just get the 40GB PS3.

60gigs all the way. You can't say that it's much older than the 40gig model.

80 GB plays PS2's and PS1's

40 GB doesn't

60 GB is discontinued
