I have worn glasses all of my life since kindergarten. They are a lot easier to take care of, and you do not have to keep buying $100 solution to wash them in. You only have to change the prescription once a year, and you do not have to buy new ones every month, and you don't have to touch your eyes at all.

I think that contacts are better because they are not as noticable. I don't like the idea of people looking at my face and seeing pieces of wire and glass over my eyes. Although, you have to be very patient to use them. They hurt sometimes and you must be very careful when handling them. If you can find a pair of not-dorky glasses that might look nice. Okay that probably didn't help but I tried.

I have watched too many people fold them in half and shove them up their eyelid for me to ever try them
