Anyone who has a problem with this can get over themselves....seriously my friend- don't put your life, hopes, desires and wishes on hold just because someone else doesn't like it....it's THEM that has a problem; not you.
They should be ashamed of themselves...you do what makes YOU happy, not your family....why sacrifice your joy so someone else can be a bigot ?
....how sad it is when people judge us for who they think we should be and not for who we are...sad indeed.
Go for it my friend....and don't look back! They'll realize one day how stupid, close-minded and foolish they are being over this NON-issue.
Have a blessed Christmas :-)

Why haven't you ever dated someone of your own race? Sometimes it's so hard to date someone that is not of the same race because of other family members. Usually the family has a great influence on who their children date. This may cause you great problems while in a relationship and stress that sometimes it's just not worth it. But I can only speak for myself. I am black and would only date black men because I don't find going through all that race drama to be a very nice issue!

Do what you wish. The girls liked you or they would not have gone out with you.
It's no one's business as long as the girls you are dating are over 18, who dates their daughters. If it causes trouble, go on and be her friend but find one who's parents are not so narrow minded that they care the color of your skin, like YOU have any CONTROL over it!!!! Who asks to be a particular color? If I'd had a choice, I would not have chosen pasty white.
Trust that not all white people have issue with this kind of thing. It should not be an issue. You are articulate, and spelled all your words correctly, so you are educated. Those parents should be happy that you are smart, not be upset that you are African American.
And, by the way, I'm 46 years old, age has nothing to do with prejudice.

First off lol.
Love is beyond race, sex, or religion. Love is what it is to be human. Don't live you life the way people "think" it should be. Go for it. Date a green woman if you want. Just do it for you and her, don't do it to prove a point.
If you really like her then technically nothing else really matters does it? To never date her because your afraid of what people might think is ludacris. People don't matter when it comes to affairs of the heart.

Diversity in relationships isn't as far along as you would like to believe. Parents and siblings will be your biggest challenge, both in your community and in hers.
Black women especially resent it when black men reject them over white women, Why not give it a go with your own race, then choose which you prefer. You might be surprised !

Date whoever you are attracted to. If you choose interracial relationships, you already know that there are more problems that come with it. Be prepared for more. If I were you, I would date a lot of different people to be sure my choices were valid. Relationships are hard enough without all the extra hassles but some times you gotta do what you gotta do.

Our parents are an older generation. A lot has changed in OUR generation and parents weren't grown up with a society like ours. You have to remember that. Anyone your age will look at it as no big deal but some adults over 40 will dislike it.

you should stick with your heart. I too have the black blood. I have to say I can't stand black women for the most part. You just have to be way better then they expect you to be. I think once the parents see you are not a stereo typical black man you should be fine.

I say you love or like whomever. What difference does race make? Parents generally have a hard time with their daughters dating anyone.

I say go with your heart. But beware, If you live in the deep south like I do, you must be careful who you date! there are some crazy white folks out there! I am white myself, but I believe love knows no bounds or color lines.
Do what makes YOU happy, just be careful doing it!
