carly, you make a good point but you can led a christain live so to say you are a good person, treat others with respect, 'do on to others as you would have done on to you' but at the same time if your not saved then it means nothing accourding to religion 'right'. then you have the other side of it were yes you just have those people that do odd thing's and claim that its in the name of god! and then those people that will just try to cram the belifes down your thorught.

all Religions are meant for brainwashing people to implement some kind of control regime on a society composed of conscious, self-aware beings.

Most religions and failths are centered on good will, compassion, and forgiveness for one another... and, of course, love. But, there are extremists who do things in the name of God, but it is really their own agendas they are pursuing. It has nothing to do with God at all. Those who follow those extremists are either in denial or they are brainwashed. But, no, this is not true of most religions at all.

The brainwashing is fear. It is a rough way to live. Fear keeps us in a rut. It breeds judgement. Especially self-judgement. Remember, religion is for people who are trying to keep from going to hell. Spirituality is for people who have already been there.
