The vast majority of abortions are performed by people who didn't want children but deliberately got pregnant any way. If you don't want children, you should either refrain from sex or make absolutely certain that your birth control measures (condoms, the pill, etc.) are going to be effective. Abortion should never be used as a form of birth control for consensual sex.

In cases of rape, the mother clearly did not want to become pregnant. Abortion should be legal until the point where the brain begins to develop.

After the point where the brain forms, abortions should always be illegal. A human life at that point is as developed as newborn cats and dogs. Killing newborn animals is generally considered cruel and inhumane. It can get you sent to prison. Killing a human at the same point in time after its conception should be considered just as bad, if not worse.

I'm an atheist, and I'm pro-choice. I'm not advocating that everyone should have any abortion, but I think we (as in women) should have the right to choose.

Strangely, a good friend of mine who posts here is a witch and a theistic satanist, and she is also vehemently pro-life. I only mention this because it seems to go against the stereotypes about satanists.

I believe abortion is necessary in some cases, like when it puts the life of a mother in risk and when the family has so many children and it is too poor to feed a new child (this is before the fetus is 2 months old in it's mother's uterus only).
Also when the baby has a permanent illness or mental retardation.
However, I am against abortion in all other cases.

A tough one but good. I fear my answer may sound a bit disjointed. I am for abortion in cases of conception through incest or rape. I am totally against it in cases of a gal or guy not bothering with birth control, in other words as a last defense against accidental pregnancy. There should not be accidents of this sort. As far as my religion...well I call myself a Christian but I believe in a single diety of whatever name you choose to call him. For me the name 'God' works but there are others I imagine. To me there is but one of him and you can all choose to call him whatever you wish. He is the same entity to me. Y'all have a Merry Christmas now.

Heathen - I think it should be left to choice in the first 3 months. After that, only if the mother is in medical danger.

Glad to hear that you are against abortion but how does that fit with your satanic witch religion?

As to your question,
I am a follower of Christ and as such I am against abortion.

Please turn away from witchcraft and this religion while you still can. Contact me for help or find another Christian for help. Time is short.

Hope that helps.

Yes to abortion, as if someone was raped or there is medical proof that the child or mother will be harmed in a severe way.

Absolutely not to abortion as a form of birth control.

I have Christian-based faith.
