I don't and I really feel guilty. I am so careful about not missing Asr and Isha Prayers. Sometimes I miss Duhr prayers when I am at university and sometimes I miss Maghrib when I am out home. But I pray them most of the time Alhamdulilah. However, I rarely wake up for Fajr prayer. I try hard and whenever I decide that I really want to wake up, I wake up for two consecutive days or threes on time and then I stop.
It is a big problem for me.
I am just wondering how many Muslims here have the same problem and if I can get some advice from fellow muslims who wake up for Fajr prayer Alhamdulilah.

Jazakum Allah Khair

I used to hardly wake up for it
then i started reading last 5 ayat from soorat Alkahaf (from ena alathina amanoo wa amaloo..... up to the end of it) and i ask god to help me wake up and put my mind on the pray before sleeping and put my phone on the alarm or ask mum to wake me up and it worked 100%
now i wake up most of the times
there is another way if your best friend prays ask her or him to call you and wake you up for the prayer
or give yourself reward when you get it
trust me if you really want to pray you will wake up just put your mind on it
but reading soorat Alkahaf will help alot try it this night and you will get up for the prayer for sure but first you should want to

if you had problem finding the aya that i mean email me and i will sent it for you

i want to make another point you can't just miss your prayer just because you are in uni you have to find a way to pray there make sure you find a way because i'm sure its not accepted to miss a prayer for any reason you can also call a sheikh and ask

enshallah you wake up for the prayer
hope i helped you
plz try reading those ayat tonight and tell me if you wake up

According to one narration "Those male Muslims who pray Isha salat in congregation gets the sawab of one who performs salat (optional) standing during half the night and the male Muslim who pray Isha and Fajr salats in congregation gets the sawab of one who performs salat during the entire night". There is another narration "Those who knows the sawab of the Isha and Fajr congregation prayers will attend the prayer crowing".

For those ladies who performs these salats in time get the same sawab as that of men (as stated above).

Once a person asked the scholar Imam Idrisu Shafie: Which day is nahas (bad). Imam Shafie told him that the day on which Fajr Salat in congregation is lost is nahas.

It is not a problem to wake up for Fajr prayer if you set your alarm. It is better to wake up at least half an hour earlier to Azan so that you can finish your personal needs such as urinating, brushing of tooth etc. before the azan. When you are accustomed to this practice for about a week, there will be no problem for waking up for Fajr prayer.

Assalamalaikum

brother, use an alarm clock that will help. but if still u fail to wake up at the rite time, pray the fajr when you wake up. try to be regular with the prayers, and whenever you are out, you should pray in a mosque.

I wake up for fajr prayer...mainly because I have to be to work at 6:00am. I really try not to miss it. Just try going to sleep earlier. I And for the prayers you miss. Just make up for them when you get out of school. Or just pray during your breaks at school. I pray during my breaks at work. I thought that they would make fun of me..so I used to just wait until I got home to make them up. But they seem to respect me and like me a lot more since they've seen me doing prayers. Once you really do them You will feel so good and want to change other things about yourself. Just try to motivate yourself. Think of God all day like a Sufi. Know that he is watching you and your life is only between you and him. Read Muslim girl magazine if you could. That might motivate you hearing about other Muslim's strugles in faith: http://www.muslimgirlworld.com/

Mimi, I find one of the best cures for such laziness is being around people who are religious and the group energy is a great motivator. { kind of liking walking alone verses walking with company}
I do not deny that I am sometimes lazy to pray, but on one of my holidays, I spent time with my sister and a friend of hers and their kids. They are very religious people, the kind that perform prayers as soon as it is called for. I never missed a prayer during that time. It is nice that one person reminds and encourages the others. I encourage you to make friends with really good muslims and make it a point to remind each other
of prayers. Ask her to wake you up during fajr and if possible
(like if she is a neighbour of yours) pray together. ( I did that with a friend of mine. ) One tends to shy away from missing a prayer if they have to do it with other people.
Once you get into the habit, it becomes a part of you and you will start doing it on your own.

Salaam Alaykum
I do but oddly I am up at that hour..then I nap and sleep through Zuhr and Asr. Then I feel so guilty about starting out with Fajr and then missing the rest. I tried to make up by completing 40 days of salat on time and I only made them all one day. I feel terrible about this because I want to be more conscience about my salat. I believe bad things will come my way by being negligent. Thanks for sharing your plight sister and Inshallah you will get the answer to get a good routine and myself as well.

I wake up some times, but I pray as soon as I wake up, try to pray the five prayers at mosque for continuous 40 days, you will then never miss a prayer in the mosque.

Al Shaytan pisses in our ear when we miss al fajer :'(

try to set an alarm on Fajer, and change the tone every two or three days.

I love waking up for Fajr prayer. Alhumdulillah there is no better way to start a new day than by waking up to worship Allah swt.
