sorry for the typo, meant to ask, does anyone know what type of dog this is. I was wondering because we were told pit but we knew he was a mix, he was put to sleep yesterday due to kidney failure, we had no idea, he was only two.

The face and coloring is that of pit bull or boxer. The longer hair is typical of a lab or Retriever mix.

It looks like it has some pit bull and some Australian shepherd or Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever in it,but really ,it's hard to tell with some mixed breeds.

Looks like a mixed breed with more than 2 breeds involved. Perhaps both parents were mixed as well. There is definately some terrier in there.

The one on the left looks like a feist or manchester terrier. Like the other answerers say, the one on the right looks like a pit bull terrier mixed with a retriever (hair, wide paws).
