The Bible says that HE is faithful, even when WE are faithless. Don't worry about it. You don't go to hell for what you DO, but for what you BELIEVE. If you have already trusted Christ for your salvation you can never lose it. It is a GIFT; NOT dependent on your performance but on HIS at Calvary.
Rejoice in the truth that its NOT the promises YOU make to God that are the issue, but YOU believing the promises He has made to YOU.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

Does God know you will break a promise trillions of years ago before you were even born???
Or does a God know he will send you to hell for eternity trillions and trillions of years before???
If so then I guess it would be funny for God to be living with humans for eternity since he knows all actions down to the nanoseconds. The most funny of all is how do Jesus and God communiacte when all conversations were known trillions of years before those conversations. Why converse at all?
Religions are very strange if you ask me. Only men made up inventions are this silly and strange.
How does superman change direction during flight??? I can't figure that one out yet. Flapping his arms? That might work because then he would looked like a bee flying through the air.

Matthew 5:33-37
"Again, you have heard that the ancients were told, 'YOU SHALL NOT MAKE FALSE VOWS, BUT SHALL FULFIL YOUR VOWS TO THE LORD,'
"But I say to you, make no oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God' or by the earth, for it is the footstool of His feet, or by Jerusalem, for it is THE CITY OF THE GREAT KING."
"Nor shall you make an oath by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black. But let your statement be 'Yes, yes' or 'No, no; and ANYTHING beyond these is of evil."
These words were spoken by our Lord Jesus and are very clear to what your answer is - it may not be popular, but it is the ONLY truth. Jesus is Not ,mamby pamby, like most of the world-He demands that we stick to any promise we make.
We can ask for forgiveness and He is faithful to give it to us. But, we must then go back and make restitution (that means to correct our lie).
He forgives our sins, but he doesn't always remove the consequences of those sins.
The first answering person speaks as a fool.

Making a promise means you are affirming you will do something (let your yea be yea), and Godly men made solemn promises and kept them by God's grace. But finding a person who faithfully keeps his word is rare today, but the Bible makes it clear God takes it very seriously, if it is a Biblical promise. If you can keep it, and it is Biblical, and you refuse to, then you are a willful liar who is denying the faith, and all liars have have their part in the lake of fire (Rv. 21:8).
Do not make promises you are not sure you should make and are Biblical, and only makes ones that you are fully committed to keeping, after having counted the cost. But do not fail to promise what you should.
And do not swear by something, as if you need someone else's name or credit to give it authority.
(James 5:12) "But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation."
(Mat 12:36) "But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment."
(Eccl 5:4-6) "When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. {5} Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay. {6} Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?"
If you make a promise that is not Biblical, and God's will, then you can be released from it.

The mere fact that you have asked the question should be enough to convince you that god is a not worth bothering about. Forget about him and get a proper life.

Lets face it, if that were the criteria, Heaven would be empty. When God gave people free will, he knew that he was opening up a can of worms. I'm sure that you won't go South.
