I have been going out with my girlfriend since the 7th grade, and we are both 23 years old now (we were 12-13 when we in the 7th grade) so we have been dating for 10 years.
I asked her out on January 6th (I passed her a note, asking her out, and she said yes. And I still have the note)
So my question is, would it be weird to ask her to marry me on January 6th? Or would it be sweet?
P.S. I have the note because I put it in a shoebox under my bed, and I found it when I was packing for college. So it's not like I framed it on my wall.

Oh that would be so very, very sweet. I hope she remembers the date, if not, get the note out afterwards and tell her that is why you did it. I think it would be sweet to hand her a note asking her to marry you and when she opens it to read it get down on one knee with the ring ready for her reply. You are such a sweet, loving man to think of a proposal like that.

OMG yes yes yes, ask her!!
what i would suggest is go and make a copy of the note and then write under that... ummmmmmm like, I know its been forever since you saw this note, but since the day I wrote it I knew you were the only one for me..
then get on your knees and ask her to marry you.. I bet that letter will be a frame next jan 6th, I wish you the best and happy marriage!

I know I'm like the 100th person to answer this, but I think it's such a sweet idea! If possible, use the note in the proposal. Mark out where you wrote "go out with me" & write "marry me" instead. Best wishes to you both!

And I don't know if you're fishing for ideas yet, but take that same note and stick it on top of another note that looks about the same that says something like "Will you marry me?" Give her the old note on top of the new one whenever you do propose to her and she'll look at both of them...works from there.
Anyway, that's so sweet :) And i'm one of those non-mushy types too

Oh, that's sweet! What you could do is make a photocopy of it and cross out the words "go out with me" (or whatever it actually says) and write above it "marry me". Then fold it all up like you did in 7th grade and give it to her. Good luck.!

That would be the sweetest thing in the world to do. That would be the perfect moment and it would be priceless. It would be very memorable if you wrote on the note will you marry me, and then give her the note and ask if she remembers it and she will read the bottom part that says will you marry me and she will love it! Any girl would love it!

I think thats a FABULOUS idea... not only that, i say take her to dinner or something.... be non-chalant "oh, hey, look waht i found while cleaning" and show her the original note...
While shes lookin at that note, pass her another that says " will you marry me?" and have the yes or no check boxes! HOT!
Its ok, i still have the program from the play my fiance and i went to on our first date. Its no accident, its cute! Nothing creepy about that at all... i think its darn romantic... you go boy!

Oh that is sooooooooooooo sweet! Do it. I would love that. I have everything with my fiance from years ago too. I have a special box for that kind of stuff and I have all the dates matching too. I say do it, not creepy. Really sweet! Good luck!
