Yes, troops stationed in South Korea can further their education if they choose. The University of Maryland has satellite campuses in both Europe and Asia that are set up for the troops. Teachers are there to conduct classes at all major bases. Also, the internet has been a huge help for soldiers wanting to continue their educations. Many schools these days offer on-line courses that can be done anywhere there is an internet connection.

Not only are there almost 25,000 troops in Korea, many attend college. Not only in Korea, but anywhere U.S. Service members are stationed. University of Maryland, Central Texas College are a couple of schools with satelite campuses overseas. But many more do take college course via online learning...I do.

Why do you knock online learning? For many folks it is the only way to complete a degree given work schedules etc...
Even in the States many, many people login to class every night and earn the same degree as the snot-nosed brats on university campuses back in the states.

@dded : if you read the whole post I did say if a college is available. Inter-net courses can be used if you are close to a transfer so you can complete the class.
