idk what to do. im white btw and im not attracted to white guys at all!!! and my family doesnt approve of interracial dating. but i dont want to end up with someone i dont really love because i want to please them. ..any advice?

Well I'm black and I am mostly attracted to white guys. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. You like who you like. If your family can't deal with your tastes then you need to tell them how you feel about that. If they still can't get with it and threaten to exile you if you bring home a black guy, then you might just have to only talk to your fam on the phone right now. Not only would they not be accepting the person you love, but they also wouldn't be accepting you. Never change who you are for anyone.

Some parents are unable to give up their racist belief and thoughts.And in most cases, they want their children to follow in their footsteps.. Before you allow your boyfriend to meet them, tell them about him, that you love him ,that he treats you nice,that he loves you,and that you are asking them to be civil to him when he comes to visit.Tell your boyfriend about your parents and the type of treatment he can expect from them so he is not caught by surprise.And you should be ready also for what your family may do to you.These days, those antiquated beliefs are going the way of the dinosaurs. There is only one race---the Human race.If you find a man of a different color or ethnic background that you are attracted to, then just go for it. Let your gut instinct guide you, they usually are right.No matter what you do , don't run away from a man that you love and whom loves you because of the superficial difference of color, or ethnic group.

Follow your heart, well follow your brain cuz its the one who does all the thinking...anyways just because your white doesnt mean you have to date someone white. I'm a brown Dominican girl who's first kiss was a Jamaican guy. Color of skin doesnt have anything to do with love...its about appreciation.

Well-depending on how old you are (I wouldnt let you date at all if you are in my home and are under 18)
But if you are a grown woman-do whatever you want. This is 2007-2008, There will be no burning crosses on your front lawn-get a African-American man-who cares? Tell your parents-thank you for all yoour love and support thus far-but this is what I want to do.

blk guys are hot but most are not so well off and can be criminals. Thats why many white parent don't approve of them. If you get a decent blk guys who make good living and is a law abiding citizen, there should be no problem...go for blk guy ...consider will smith..he is so hot in i am a legend!!
also consider Indian boys...very hot...very successful...200% loyal and loaded with money!!!

hun you should date whom ever makes you happy!! I have a 3 friends that are white and one is married to a black guy and has little cute biracial kids and then i have a friend and her babydaddy is black and her baby is to cute for words. then i have a friend dating a black pro football player they are all happy and their families have come to love their children and black men. so just do what makes you happy!!!

well families are hard when it comes to guys. i know what u mean. black guys are good but also try to go out u r comfortzone u know. U never know. just don't promise u r self that u will date a black guy. whatever guy u think is good and u r type....date him.
