Tiny puppies can't regulate their body temperatures very well and risk getting chilled if you bathe them. A damp cloth and a warm towel are usually enough at this age. After your puppy is about 7 or 8 weeks old you can give them a bath, but make sure you still keep them warm and dry them thoroughly.

I have to ask why do you have a 2-3 week old puppy in the first place? Are you confused as to the pups age? The pup should not be away from it's mother until 8 weeks old. when the pup is 6 to 7 weeks old you can give them a bath and make sure you really towel dry the pup too.
I really hope your mistaken about the age of this pup!

Your puppy should still be with it's mother! And if it is, then she is cleaning him by licks. Puppies shouldn't be seperated from their mother until they are like 8 weeks old!
Until they are about 12 weeks old or so I would just wash with a warm wash cloth. When you do start giving him baths, make sure you dry him off really well afterwards.

are you sure you don't mean 2-3 months old? because if it was 2-3 weeks old there is no way that puppy was ready to leave its mom. anyways to answer your question you can bathe a puppy around 4 months old. just make sure its not a cold day even if you do it inside. puppies can get sick easy. i would wait until spring really unless ofcourse your puppy got into the mud or rolled around in something lol. good luck

The mother of the puppy will keep it clean. I would say that a safe age to do a full bath would be about 2 months.
Good luck!

You can bath your puppy now. Just make sure to towel dry him and keep him in a warm place until completely dry.
Our living room was the warmest room in the house during the
winter, so we would play fetch because ours was afraid of the hair dryer, even with the diffuser on.
Usually after a bath, a pup may have to go to the bathroom so put paper down if it is too cold to let it out.
Use moisturizing puppy shampoo so the skin doesn`t dry out.

All puppies are safe to bathe by 5 - 6 weeks. If they are dirty and the mom isn't cleaning them, go ahead and get a warm wash cloth, some mild soap such as dial, clean the areas and then dry them. I just wouldn't recommend it right now unless they are absolutely filthy-food and so on stuck in their hair as their mom is still cleaning them. And you really don't want them getting cold right now without an tolerance to it.

Warm washcloth is better than bathing until you get to at least 7-8 weeks (and then be sure to dry thoroughly to avoid them catching cold).

That's a little young for a full bath. They are easily chilled at that age. A damp cloth rubbing the dirty areas would be better and promptly towel dry.

Our vet recomended that we use a wet washcloth and ''sponge bathe'' our puppies. so thats what probably would work best
