Because we live in a "politically correct" society where everything seems to offend everyone.
Your best bet is to make your own christmas cards or like everyone else says, a blank one with your own personalized "Merry Christmas" inside.

Happy Holidays generally means Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. It is more versatile and inclusive therefore a better product for those who wish to make money from producing and/or selling cards. Christian Bookstores have Merry Christmas cards.

They all say Happy Holidays on them so as to include more types of religions during the festive season.
Merry Christmas doesn't go over big with non-Christians.
I suggest you make your own cards and write whatever it is that you want on them.

Oh shut up.
I am so sick of hearing this argument. This is not true and there are plenty of cards that have spiritual messages and say Merry Christmas.
Oh PS, there are people that do not celebrate or celebrate other things than the american version of Christmas so, therefore, it is not an ASSULT on you in as much as a reach to include EVERYONE.
It's is not your RIGHT to have solely Christmas celebrated. In the age of computer of which you obviously use, make your own god damn cards.
God Bless
How good and judgemental a christian you are, as you think you should be in your elevated status. Unfortunately, as unaware of this fact as many people are, this proclamation of faith does not license you for dictating christianity or any faith, constitutionally speaking. It is not the American society's obligation to fulfill for you personal demands dear Johnny the Name Caller, for religious equality or any kind of recognition. (In our country, we are free have have no goverment religion - that's one of the reasons we colonized, 'member?) Our democratic society is founded on the separation of church and state and is protected consitutionally. Christmas, on the 25th, is not the actual religious birthdate of Christ anyway, it is a secular date chosen by the government to include everyone for the enjoyment of family and good will.
On December 6, 1999, the verdict for Ganulin v. United States (1999) declared that "the establishment of Christmas Day as a legal public holiday does not violate the Establishment Clause because it has a valid secular purpose." This decision was upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court on December 19, 2000. At the same time, many devout Christians objected to what they saw as the vulgarization and co-optation of one of their sacred observances by secular commercial society and calls to return to "the true meaning of Christmas" are common.
So, in returning to the true meaning of Christmas, as a proclaimed person of faith why not just get nice and make your own cards, buy nothing special and make cookies without complaining about what everyone else is doing or not doing or that the whole god damn world is not christian enough for you and you can't buy your christian products easily. No one owes you this! (This is not something that was ever robbed from Christians either as Bill O'Reily, Dr. Hate, and his ridiculous claims to fame have distorted! Come on, think for yourself!) Have a great time practicing your faith, just leave everyone else out of it!
Shouldn't one's relationship with god be private?
I thought Christians were supposed to be nice? You called my parents perverts and made fun of my name. I am just stating facts Jack. God's gonna get ya for that one! WHOOO - and she likes me too!
The fact is, other people don't care what you believe in, just don't insist it upon everyone!
God Bless & Happy Holidays
Twister anyone?
