He is animated and has strong opinions...I enjoy that! Most importantly, I have really learned a thing or two from the fellow.

Happy Holidays to you and all of yours!

He's opinionated and not afraid to say what he thinks, which rubs some folks the wrong way.

He's also frank and not afraid to tell you what he thinks.

Most of the time, though, he's right, and provides plenty of evidence(both example shots and scientific proof) to back up what he says.

At the same time, he's also one of the loudest and strongest voice that the camera doesn't matter, which is really important information for the beginning photographer.

Overall, I think that he's a great reference. For the beginning photographer, he has a lot of great information. For the nerd who likes to take pictures(such as myself) he provides more in depth information. That stuff is buried fairly deeply in his site, probably to keep most people from being scared off, but it's there if you look for it.

I don't think he is opinionated, but like stated, he knows what he likes. Yes, it seems he prefers Nikon over Canon, but more than a few times I've read how he uses some Canon digital bodies, or lenses such as the 10-20mm.

He's a good reviewing source, and he loves that 18-200mm VR.

I quote Ken and refer people to him regularly. I appreciate his frankness and the fact that he backs up what he says with research and clear information.

Is he sometimes wrong? Yes, but less often than most, and honest about it.

Can we learn from him? I check his site daily and discover new things with every click.

I think he's awesome. He's my number one reference when I need to know something. Actually, he's the one who taught me most of what I know. I like the fact that he's straight to the point and only tells the truth. He doesn't talk up one brand or another. If he thinks a feature of one brand is crap, he will say so. And if he thinks another feature of the same brand is excellent, he will say so. I particularly like what he said about choosing a camera - "Who cares about the measurebation (referring to the measurements of this and that), it's which camera does what you want the quickest."
