Yes. Most Christians are against witchcraft and ghosts and all that. I advise you not to do those things at a Christmas party. plus, christmas parties are supposed to be fun and happy. save the Ouija board and seance for a halloween party

A seance and a Ouija board at a Christmas party? Bad taste?

It's not my first choice for a group-type game, but no, of course it's not in bad taste. Some people enjoy that kinda thing, some don't. At the end of the night, though, it's just fun and games.

That's assuming that those aren't going to be the only two activities available, of course. And if there's anyone there that's not interested in that sorta thing, they can come up with their own stuff to do. As long as you've got enough interested parties to take part in some mindless supernatural frivolities, go right on ahead, get out your Ouija board and channel some ghosts or something. Have some fun. No reason in the world not to; I mean, that's what parties are for.

PS: Just saw your last line: "If I suggest this will it offend anyone?"

Ahhh... now, that there is what I would refer to as a recursively-nullifying question.

Using a ouija board is great fun and certainly a way to brighten up a dull Christmas party.
Make sure you turn off the electric lights and have some spooky looking candles to set the mood.
I'm sure everyone will enjoy having the bejeebers scared out of them!

If you are celebrating Christmas then yes it is rude to even suggest it. If you all are not Christians and are just getting together and not considering it a celebration of Chritmas then it would be OK. Please remember that Christmas is a Christian holiday and most Christians are against Ouija boards because they see them as evil.

Yes, it's bad taste.
Christmas exists because of Jesus. He was fairly opposed to evil and demons and witchcraft and all that.

If you say 'oh Jesus is just a fairytale' then why do you believe in seances and evil spirits, for which there is less evidence?

And if you believe Jesus is real then can you imagine him being very impressed with you doing seances instead of celebrating him?

Yes and yes. Also, be careful with that stuff! You never know what you're dealing with when you get into that occult stuff. There are beings out there who look for opportunities to wreak havoc, and you may be opening doors you don't even know are there! Many people don't believe that this is possible, but to them I ask "then why are you playing with it in the first place?"

It is definitely possible that you would make some of your guests uncomfortable. I would feel uncomfortable, for example, and would probably find a way to leave the party.
