You can keep meat in the freezer at 0 deg F. for years. It may get freezer burn if it is not wrapped well, though. I have had meat in the freezer for a couple years and it is still fine, even ground beef. It came from a butcher and was double wrapped and taped.
Don't freeze meat in the wrap it comes in from the store, it is not thick enough to protect it. Rewrap it in freezer plastic bags or freezer paper.

The fat on pork is less saturated than other meats, so it can acutally spol a bit faster than othe rmeats. Freezing slows this down considerable.

They won't kill you or poison you. But the quality won't be as great as the day you bought them. Expect some off-flavor, probably, and maybe a bit of freezer burn. But they are indeed edible.

A general rule of thumb is not to keep meat in the freezer longer than 3 months. If it is in a deep freezer (sub zero F) it should last several years.

Parts will last 9 months in optimum condition, but will last ages longer. Freeze in meal sized portions so that the next time you want some you do not have to thaw the whole lot to get one or two.
