Does anyone have any recommendations on a good program that lets me edit and remix audio files. I'm looking for one that will allow me to remove voice (singing, rapping, etc.) but keep the music itself.

I'm not aware of any general purpose software for this. What you'll need to do is run a software equalizer program and "turn down" the frequencies that contain the singing. A parametric equalizer works best, since you can adjust the frequency to match the vocal. The music will get a little distorted when you do this. Check the features of high end music editing software like Sonar Producer, you want one that includes either a good parametric equalizer plug-in, or a 31 band graphic equalizer.

try ACID PRO or FRUITY LOOPS both are real good for making your own as well as mixing. You might want to search on Limewire....as ACID PRO 6 is about 375.00 !
