do Christians in general act like good people because they are scared of the wrath of God?
and another thing... if you doubt, how do you pray for faith? Especially if you dsont have faith in the first place.

I am not a Christian, but I believe that Christians are Christians for the love of Jesus.
My faith had to grow and you can pray for help. Alone the act of praying is already a demonstration of faith in prayer and God. As your faith in God grows more and more.... doubt will disappear.

You think you are a Christian? You can't be anything if you actually don't worship a thing. I am a Muslim, but if I don't do anything what I am suppose to, I am no longer a Muslim, because I am not following up the needs to be a Muslim. You can't be any religion until you follow up with all that God has asked you to do. You can't really say Christians in general act like good people because they are scared of the wrath of God. See, everyone is different. Some Christians in general act like good people because they are scared of the wrath of God, but some don't. It depends on the person that they are, and how much religious that they are. It all depends on personality and not religion.

Faith grows as you learn about God. When you confess your sins and accept the gift of salvation Jesus sends the Holy Spirit to be your guide and teacher. The more you pray, study the Word and become closer to God the more your faith will grow. Most of the Christians I know are good people; they don’t have to just act like good people. We should understand how we can fail God, therefore we should fear disappointing him.
Do a concordance on the words faith and grace. Read the book of Ephesians…it’s a short read but it is powerful. Praying for faith is simple just ask the Lord to give your spirit strength to see how he is working in your life.

First of all why do you think you are a christian. Have you asked Jesus to forgive you of your sins and come into your heart? If you did then you are a Christian. Satan puts doubt in us. Be thankful that you have a salvation to doubt.
The longer you are a Christian the more you will grow. Read your bible everyday, go to church every week. PRAY, PRAY, PRAY. You can pray for faith. God will give it to you. Talk to your pastor. You have to pray for it everyday. Faith is believing something that you don't see. You do believe in God don't you? If you do then you do have faith. Jesus said all you need is faith as small as a mustard seed and you can move mountains.

The Bible says that every man is given a measure of faith and I promise you that no matter what any body says, we`ve all doubted at one time or another! As far as why we try to be good, The Lord has instructed us to be holy for he is holy, and because we`ve been so blessed we delight in doing his will!
Regarding your being a Christian, if you believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, died for our sins, rose on the third day, is sitting at his Fathers right hand praying for us, and you have repented of your sins and asked him into your heart as your Lord and Savior, no matter what anybody tells you, you ARE Christian and will live for ever in heaven with Jesus!

you should not act like a good person,But be a good person from the inside out.You should be scared of God he makes the choice whether you got o Heaven or Hell.When you Pray ask God to give you Faith,Strength and the knowledge to do the right things in life.Being a Christian is Hard,you need to strive to please God and do good by other people.I am a Christian and I strive every day to do better for God,I want to go to Heaven.

The apostles prayed to Increase their faith, "Help my unbelief".
Christians become good people because of whatever individual reason. Only God can take a bad person and change that person into a good person.

I do not obey God because I am afraid of His wrath- I obey God out of my love for Him- and what He did for me. God never minds you coming to Him and just admitting that you are doubting- Remember, that faith is a gift given you by God, you cannot muster it up yourself. We can't act like good people, it is only through Christ that we can become more like Him. Ask God to place within you the faith that comes from Him, and Him alone

Immature people act good because they fear the wrath of God. Mature thinking people act good because they know the value of it. And praying in itself is an act of faith, even if you do not think you'll get an answer the act itself signifies.

I think that if you think you are Christian, you probably are. Normally a christian acts kindly, and good to other people, because they were taught that way. It is the natural way of things. To be other wise is against the teaching of Jesus. If you are not sure about being saved and on your way to Heaven, then you may want to get with the Lord on that. Merry Christmas.
