Because Jesus said to His disciples "If you have seen me you have seen the Father"(God)
Jesus came to live among us He was God manifest in the flesh - He had a relationship with many people when He was here - His followers wrote the Holy Bible so we could understand His ways. When Jesus was resurrected He promised a comforter would come - He said "I will not leave you as orphans" -- the comforter is the Holy Spirit who when we are saved/born again comes to live in us - so we are able to understand our God and Creator.
God is about *relationship* with anyone who desires to know Him - this was His plan from the beginning - this is why we can understand Him. There are times when we fail to see Him in our circumstances - but when we look back we can see He's been with us all along.
Hope this helps..
*Blessings*

Two things, Jesus and The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will make the application of what Jesus taught in the n.t. apparent and clear. You have to learn to resist and reject the obsessive-compulsive nonsense thrown at you by the spirit of confusion. Stop being so damn gullible.

Why not?
When they were past "Dirty old men" like you and me .
John 8.44
Who was dead and buried was long gone with time.
Luke 9.60
With their cheap-skate ghostly kitchen's ghost stories and ghostly modern history of failaues and horrors of their past written with just hear-say in ghostly kitchen's dialect with ghostly and deadly words.
Genesis 11.1
Who was not even the creator of heaven and earth
Matt.23.27
Kicking the butts of living human kind in getting them in climbing up the coconut trees and still look green with lost sense of direction and purpose of life.
When we were the living and not the dead like them.
Luke 6.39-40,41-45,46-49
What do you think?
Merry X'mas !

Wishful assumption, which some people call faith.
In the absence of knowledge or the means for obtaining it, most people will believe the alternative that is most pleasant for them.

finally, somebody with a brain willing to admit that if there is a god, how would you know crap about him.. its god.. why would you think he can be seen and heard in human terms, that if your little mind cant wrap around a universe creating god, he doesnt exist..
